New pictures from Newport tourmanent.

This is my boat the Green Marauder. There were so many boats there it is a race to get to your spot. There was 110 people on the water, but only ten fish caught. It was the worst day at newport I ever had. But it's always fun to be in the heat of the competition. Mission Bay is next. It will be the last tournament of the year.

This is my buddies Joe's boat. It is the orange one.

Silverwood stryper part 2

Decided to fish Silverwood Friday morning, November 2nd. Took Christian, and Hondo with me. Got to the lake a little after six, the sun was just coming up. The prior week we had Nick with us and at the end of our fishing day Nick had two, Christian had one and Hondo had one fish, so the trash talk began. I would just like to say that I taught Nick Kingman all he needs to know about fishing. And though I lost by 1 fish the prior weekend, I challenged them to a fish off today. Nick never showed up, Hondo caught one, and all Christian caught was the pleasure of watching me reel up my three fish. Better luck next time boys. The teacher always wins.

Here is a picture of Christian asking God to bless him with a fish. God did not hear his prayers that day.

Christian looking at me and Hondo's fish. He saw the camera come out and he ran away. But I still got the picture!

I always have a good time fishing with my guys. We love to trash talk. But I love them all so very much. Thanks guys for the great tme, we'll do it again soon.

Another day at Newport.

You catch a lot of strange things in the ocean. On this day it was an octopus, a bat ray, and a bad headache.
Me trying to knock the octopus off my yak.

Well it goes down like this... the tournament was postponed till November 10 because of the fires, but I still got out on the water to do some pre fishing. Met up with my buddy Joe at 3:30 am and was on the water by 6:00 am. Right away I had 4 sand bass. That day was so weird, I got sick halfway through the day. Caught a bat ray that almost capsized me, luckily it broke off, but the best part was the octupus that fell for a plastic swimbait. I tried to knock him off with my paddle but he stuck to my boat and crawled to the bottom of the boat. Pretty scary... good thing it finally came off. Well, with all the stuff going on with tournament fishing I'm thinking about leaving Okuma and trying to go after other sponsors with Joe to start our own team next year. It's been fun with those guys but I think it might be time to move on. Keep it in prayer.
