The hot spot at Silverwood Lake
Ok here it is, the hot spot at silverwood lake only for my good friends. This is the map of the northeast end of the lake, the official spot is called the Rock Quarry. At this spot you could catch 15 to 20 fish a day. You will need 6lb test, size 4 hook and you will need to bait your hook with a 1/4 pece of anchovy you will need to fish this on a fly line with a slow drift in about 30 to 60 feet of water depending on the temp of the water. There are other key facts, but I wont give those up just yet. There's a back road at the dam to get to this spot. It's a rough drive, but it's well worth it.
Most fish are in the 2 to 3 lb range, a bait running rig is key to the catch.

2007 men's two day fishing trip
We had our men's fishing trip at church. It was a great time. We went on the hunt for yellowtail, but the water was too cold, 58 degrees. Me and my buddy Frank managed to land one each though. So Captain Mark of the Pacific Voyager, put us on some great rock fish in 250 feet of water, I must have caught over 30 rock fish over 10 lbs. Some even pushing 20. Everybody on the boat had sacks of fish. The trip was a blessing, the men were blessed. Looking forward to next year. All my rock fish were caught on a sardine tipped with a piece of squid.
This is my buddy Frank. He caught some nice fish too. This is one of the many big ling cods that he caught. Frank had a slow day the first day, but slayed the bass the next day on the plastic.
Fishing the island with Derek
Me and Derek Rockit, former band member of the Rockits, hit up Coronado Island with Dave and Derek's Dad Rob. It was a great time. Me and Derek haven't hung out since the band days, but he was like a brother to me. It was good to catch up on old times. Fishing with Derek was like we had never been apart. While fishing the fly line on 25 lb. test, Derek had a great day nailing this 30 plus yellowtail
We caught many things that day, like calico bass, barracuda, and some killer ling cod. Looking forward to the next time out on Derek's boat.
This is Derek's yellowtail, they insisted I take a picture with it. Talk about a humbling experience. I told Derek next time he'll be holding my fish, taking a picture with it. I guess that's what happens when you get skunked on yellowtail.
